His name was Wilson Ramos. Ramos had just finished his rookie season with the Washington Nationals. He had came to his home town to play for the Aragua Tigers during their winter league. On Wednesday November 10, a spokesman for the Venezuelan team posted on her twitter account that Ramos had been kidnapped. The Nationals, however, could not confirm the kidnapping but proceeded to publish her statement. Kathe Vilera, the Aragua Tigers spokesman, said, “Ramos was kidnapped by four armed men from his home in Santa Ines, in Carabobo state.” Hopefully authorities can find Ramos alive and the people that may have kidnapped him.
